Mission

The mission of the MOCHA Urban Hang Suite (MUHS) is to promote and strengthen the African American creative and leisure industries by providing a central hub where residents of the Cities of Houston and San Antonio, as well as visitors, can access information on upcoming cultural events.

We accomplish this through the promotion of literary, visual, theatrical, musical, dance, architectural, plastic, cinematographic and performing arts through a social networking portal that the community updates and maintains. Viewers can join and post events FREE of charge. The functional spectrum of the MUHS ranges from creating cultural awareness—from the grass root level to the international cultural exchange level—in an effort to maximize our city’s economic and social vitality.

We also provide thought provoking and cutting edge commentary on historical as well as contemporary social issues that effect all. This is a community based endeavor and we seek opinions from brilliant minds all over the U.S. to help us all find new satisfying dimensions for being human.
